Asian versus western beauty standards
Article is based on Korean, Japanese versus
American beauty standards
1. Asian women deem pale, milky,
dewy and moist skin beautiful.While western women like tanned, golden
bronzed and matte skin.
2.Asian women tend to aim to be
skinny and petite, western women tend to aim for a curvy and toned body shape.
3. Western women like to spot a
winged eyeliner upwards while Asian women especially the Koreans prefer to wing
the eyeliner downwards for a puppy eye effect.
4.Western women cover up their
eye bags and get cosmetic treatments to get rid of eye bags while Asian women
especially Korean, highlight their eye bags by drawing them in to emphasize
them as they deem it to represent youthfulness.
